Motor City & MGM - more remote, not much to do immediately around the casino property.įor an overnight you are wasting time to see the same basic stuff IMO. Easy access to all of downtown via People Mover. Greektown - most to do outside of the casino with many restaurants and bars within a few blocks, Only one that has full pay 9/6 JoB video poker (at least only I have found - most others are 8/5). Decent bar/restaurant selection is walkable.ĭetroit - (General) - Smoking allowed on the casino floor with some small no-smoking areas. Windsor - 100% non smoking and the exchange rate gets you more for your USD. You will see the same slots and table games, minimums/limits will be similar, drinks are expensive, etc. In reality, all four casinos are basically the same. The Tunnel Bus would work for the cheap option and a pickup point is walkable from Greektown. If you don't, a taxi would be the fastest but most expensive option. If you have a car, driving is the best option. MGM Grand is walkable to a People Mover station that could then get you to Greektown. Motor City is farthest out and not really reachable by People Mover, so you would have to get a taxi/Uber or figure out a bus route. Getting around between the three Detroit casinos is a slight challenge (without a car) in itself as they are scattered.
